I am not sure what is going on, but it seems like every time I either automatically log out, or I intentionally log out, I am having to change my password. Every time I try to sign back in it claims that my password, which is correct, is wrong. I then have to reset my password, and enter in the exact same password that I had before.
Any thoughts?
If it's any consolation you're not the only person with this problem. One idea we have is that maybe some special characters in the password aren't handled correctly. Have you tried a password with only letters and numbers and no symbols or accents? (not your usual password advice, I know)
If this does work, please let us know so we can fix it
Sorry, still seems to be a problem, for me anyway. No special characters. It's happening on the latest versions of Safari, Firefox, and Chrome for me.
Hello. Still happening, regardless of the password I use. Should I just make another account?
I'm sorry, there are two of us, and we are currently very focused on site stability and so haven't had a good chance to look at your issue.
I would be shocked if making a new account helped, do you log in from a lot of devices/computers? Or would clicking the "remember me" button allow you to log in less and thus this wouldn't be so painful?
No worries at all! I cannot imagine how difficult it is to manage. You both did a fantastic job.
I did try the "remember me" button, but it still asks me to log in when I use that as well. Then gives the password error.
Atm I have tried on my mobile Android phone, and am iMac. Maybe it is a cache issue?
Can you try it one more time? I've added code to look for errors in our login and reset password pages, so if you can make it happen again maybe we'll be able to see what's going on.
Oh ok, thank you. And no special characters in my password. It is very odd!
