[Nov 2022] Nottingham church cancels film screening after backlash from trans activists
A Nottingham church decided to cancel the screening of a feminist film due to 'its impact upon members of the trans community'. The screening of the Adult Human Female film was due to take place at the Sherwood Methodist Church on Sunday, November 27.
But the screening of the film was eventually cancelled after 80 trans activists gathered outside the church on Devon Drive in a 'peaceful protest'. Although the screening had been cancelled, around 60 participants to the event were let inside the church for a talk with the film directors and women featured in the documentary, including writer and activist Julie Bindel who participated via Zoom.
The TRAs never see the irony of this:
"The film is about is about how women have been shut down when they have tried to raise concerns about a clash between gender identity, trans rights and women's rights. So the film was about that - and it seems that the film has also now become a victim of that problem. It is very difficult to talk about these issues."
A spokesperson for Nottingham Against Transphobia said: "The film is very clearly transphobic from its advertised synopsis, the review by the British Board of Film Classification, its cast of Trans-exclusionary speakers and the title itself "Adult Human Female" - a transphobic dog-whistle against the right for trans women to live peacefully in society.
Adult human female is the dictionary definition of a woman. And that, friends is transphobic!. We are transphobic for existing.
womens rights are human rights, they are literally erasing us, DARVO.
So just acknowledging that women exist is a threat, now? They become more absurd by the second. They are just men who want to control and suppress women. We see you.
When will any organization stand up to these people? It sucks to say this but we need men who aren't fucked up (not 'trans") to help women here and everywhere.
When we come out in force in the same way the TRAs do everyone start writing your disgust to that church.
"Twans community" is just a fancy name for a group of porn addicted incels who have permission to terrorize women.

I remember some years back they shut down showing of the film The Gendercator by Catherine Crouch. I have it on a DVD along with several other of her short films.
Why don't these venues simply tell the truth. They didn't cancel the screening because they suddenly realised that the trans community may be emotionally harmed by other people being able to watch it, but because they were bullied, harassed, and threatened until they did as the trans terrorists demanded.
