You really hope that one day there will be no urinals? Those wonderfully designed things that eliminate the very problem you originally caused? That there will be no sanitary disposal units, no sanitary dispenser units?
And the idea of having the washing facilities in a separate room? That is just going to increase the amount of men who walk out without bothering to wash their hands!
I am quiiiite sure that he means there will be only men's toilets, and women will have to take our sanitary pads and tampons home with us, because no bins. If we can use a toilet at all, what with the one actual toilet being occupied by a shitting man, with only urinals being there otherwise.
That's what men usually mean when they say "gender neutral".

Probably not. Seriously. More men than you realize have never cleaned a bathroom. Even now.

You had to think about the impact on others about the piss soaked floors? You didn't want to, like, not pee on the floors because of your own disgust at existing in a place soaked in your own urine? And you only thought about it after someone complained to you?

Damn, I always thought men peeing on the floor was due to aiming accidents. Not due to them being happy to pee on the actual floor that they walk on, possibly barefoot. Like ... ew?
How does anyone who hasn't grown up in the jungle have to be told that? (Actually, even if you grew up in the jungle or on the prairie, I would have considered it common sense to not piss in the tent or hut where you sleep.)

Yeah no. The amount of piss on the floor of single user formerly women’s bathrooms in Illinois is a reason alone to run out of current gender neutral bathrooms.
Reddit will screech until it dies that women's restrooms are sooooooo much dirtier and grosser than men's. Not only is it outright projection, lying, gaslighting, and a sexist "cooties" reaction to women having bodily functions, it also conveniently ignores the fact that 98% of the time children are going to go into the women's room because their mother is the primary parent.
Right? Every "gender neutral" bathroom that used to be male/female that I've been in, is just gross now. And the smell!!

Most shops in my line of work just have one no-frills restroom—kinda like the ones they usually have back behind the kitchens of small family-owned restaurants, with just a toilet and a sink (like a 1/2 bath in a house)—and the overwhelming majority of the commodes in them have been kept very clean by the (overwhelmingly male) workers, although the walls and windows can be pretty gritty.
That might just be the greater respect of people for the bathrooms at their own workplace, vs. random customers making a mess and then just taking off. But maybe the #boys are just that used to cleaning up other toxic fluids from the shop floor ahaha.

Anyone here in the military? I have been told that someone's granny recommended to marry a man who served in the military, as at least he'd have learnt to clean up after himself.
Wonder if that is true, and extends to toilets.
My grandfather, who was in the navy, cleaned the kitchen and bathroom regularly. He gave all four of his daughters really unrealistic expectations for men sadly.
My dad is a military lifer (now retired) and he definitely keeps things shipshape at home.
Some units use latrine duty as a punishment, so things may or may not be different on the home front for guys who've had a career in those units.

I love the naivety with which he shares this revelation. "hey guys, did you know we are NOT meant to piss on the floor?" XD
Worse than a libfem. A man writing for a nominally feminist site (which would be bad enough on its own) telling the world, without any sign of embarrassment or shame, that he had to be told by his female housemate to stoppissing all over the bathroom floor to the point that there was a noticeable odor. Nothing could possibly be more male. He seems to take for granted that this is normal behavior for males (or as he calls them, "people who pee standing up").
I feel gross typing that out even with the spoilers. I had heard Everyday Feminism was terrible, but it's even worse than I had imagined.

I'm crazy when it comes to my toilet. I clean the entire thing from top to bottom, inside and out, at least twice a week if not more. And once a month I take the seat off and scrub the hinges. I haven't done it in like 5 weeks bc I keep forgetting to buy plastic gloves and it grosses me out
Oh man, my new toilet seats have quick release hinges... I pull them off and toss them in the bathtub to hose down and air dry every single time I clean the toilet. It almost makes up for the childhood trauma of cleaning around the toilet seat hinges and knowing they could never be clean.
I miss paying someone to clean my bathrooms. I hate it.
I hate it too, but I feel so gross if I don't do it
