“Intersectional” circle
Posted December 14, 2021 by LavenderLane in Circles

There was a small comment chain under a comment I was on where we were discussing machismo and the sexism of minority men specifically- as a minority radical feminist sometimes these areas can seem a bit focused. I would like a circle for minority women on ovarit to be able to discuss our radical feminism and experiences.

Also on the note of circles I wish we had more circles to discuss things other then TIMs. That’s the main conversation on a lot of circles a lot of the time and while I understand it is a main concern I think there are a lot more things we need to be discussing that I personally have not noticed; like pornography and human trafficking, regular men and the patriarchy, politics outside of gender identity politics, things like that.

I’ll join it. I’m very interested in native plant/ pollinator friendly gardens

I'm new to gardening and foraging but it's something I'd like to learn more about. I'd be interested in joining this circle if it's created.

I've been trying container gardening (no berries yet but maybe next year?) and would find this interesting as well.

My first 5 years of living away from home (not counting the study years) I had to have all my plants in pots D: But we had plenty of strawberries that way, so I'm sure you'll have a harvest ^^ What berries do you have if I may ask? :)

Black currants. My balcony faces east so not a lot of light.

I love black currant! Actually just got two homegrown ones from my mum :)

They do love sun, but since they are bushes it might also just be that they were too young this year? I hope you will have a nice harvest next year 😊

I would love a place to show off my plants :)

Showing off is a must when it comes to plants :D It's also just sharing the happiness ^^

I would absolutely join this circle! Any Australians here for climate or season-specific discussion?

Yes!! these kinds of knowledge are so important and also fun! Several women who hadn't been interested before starting asking me for help this year, I think when you have lockdowns and such you start evaluating what you and your friends can do to be more resilient against those types of external events. I would definitely love to contribute to this circle! 🌱🌾🌺🌽🍈

That's a good point. I actually hadn't thought of the pandemic's impact in this way.

Support!

This would be super helpful. I'm not very good at gardening, so a place to ask questions would be brilliant.

Love it! Would join!
