“Level Up” circle
Posted October 25, 2020 by Maplefields in Circles

I think a wonderful addition to ovarit would be a sub entirely dedicated to personal healing, self-development, and mindset shift. It would be full of small messages to improving oneself. There shall be no depressing posts that spotlight depressing issues. The goal of this sub would be to provide a positive energy environment to get women uplifted and working to change the internalized misogyny (like throwing other women under the bus) and reinforcing messages of self-esteem, healthy boundaries, and putting yourself first.

We can’t expect to be a successful cohesive group to tackle feminist issues if our personal lives and mindset are a mess, as we won’t have the energy to fight systemic oppression, especially considering all the negativity we encounter daily. Healing is a must.

This sub shall aim to elevate women in their private lives to undo the years of negative socialization.

P.S. DON'T follow the rules, it's way more fun! I've made this recipe many times before as instructed, but tonight I swapped out the tomatoes for a can of coconut milk and a can of chopped green chilies. Happy cooking! ☺️

A cooking circle would be fun and interesting. While waiting for Ovarit to expand to be able to carry more circles, there's also the opportunity to discuss cooking in the Vegan circle if you happen to cook vegan dishes.

I do cook some vegan dishes, but I'm not a vegan, so I don't always feel comfortable joining that circle.

OK, but it's not gonna be vegan-only LOL!! 😹😹 Don't meat-shame me!

It’s fine! I really wouldn’t mind. I love all the suggestions you made for this circle & it sounds very interesting from a historical, feminist, etc standpoint. It would be fascinating to have! :)

Agreed! And try this Nigella recipe! I believe it's vegan, but if not, you can make it vegan easily (I use coconut oil instead of ghee!) It's really good!
