A circle so we could rant and just take stuff out of our chests and blow some steam out without heavy moderation
I knew that I wanted a deeper voice, narrower hips, different genitals... so I started HRT
Kind of crazy how they just assume their every want is right and should be fulfilled. No self-reflection on where these desires come from or the risks of fulfilling them. Amazing.
idk a man doesn't exist
If so, why is misgendering such a terrible offense ? I hate when they pretend they're blasé about gender. They're not, they're obsessed with it.
An human male (which includes cis and trans males) - biologically it's pretty simple regardless of what some transphobes think.
So simple that I won't define it, even though that was precisely the question the post asked !
I usually pose the question back to the (presumably cis) asker of that question: what does it feel like to be a man/woman for them ?
100% sure she's never actually asked anyone that question. It's not a gotcha or a tricky question, everyone will easily answer that they don't feel like a man/woman, they just know that's what they are because of their genitals. Gender was never a matter of feelings.
For me, a man is someone who has body fat and a beard and yearns for manual labor
LMAO. She just misgendered most men AND most TIFs, what a queen.

Gender needs to be real for them and fake or non-existent for us. That way
It's real and it's our responsibility to affirm any and all stereotypes for them
It's not real and we aren't allowed to have any input or speak on our experiences because that might contradict whatever they fancy in the moment
I love how being male has absolutely nothing to do with the kind of body you have, but it also necessitates having facial hair, narrow hips, and a flat chest.
For me, a man is someone who has body fat and a beard and yearns for manual labor, mainly because that's what I want for myself
Redefining a word to make yourself happy while pushing out a ton of men e.g. skinny men who work in tech with no beards. I guess all those men simply "aren't masculine enough" and should either dedicate themselves to chopping firewood to and hunting deer to make up for their sin of not being stereotypical macho men or trans out to become the women they clearly are for not being "manly" enough. Absolutely incredible.
lol "thin guy in tech with no beard" is like a good 30% of my social circle right now. guess they're all non-binary, who's gonna tell them?

Lol i just saw a woman on Insta say, with 1000% confidence, "did you know that if you save one dollar a day, just ONE dollar, after a year you'll have $30,000"
Like what??? I had to stop bc I felt like I was going crazy
pLeAsE VaLiDaTe mY nOtHiNg BuRgEr NaVeL-gAzInG NiHiLiSm - otherwise you are bigot
I just decided to address the fact I didn't like being a woman by transitioning and let dysphoria guide my transition
I haven't "liked" being a woman for almost my entire life. My male family members were always treated much better than me. I was punished severely that had to do with my sex, faced tons of sexism, and harassment. I started being sexually harassed by very grown men when I was not even a teenager yet. I was also sexually assaulted as a child on multiple occasions. I was always perceived as emotionally weaker and stupider than my male peers, just because I'm female. I hated my breasts, I hated when I found out I would have to experience painful bleeding and cramping every month while having to go about my day and pretend everything is ok. I hated knowing almost any man and most boys over the age of 12 are physically stronger than I am and that's how it'll always be. I hated how I couldn't be "one of the boys" because most men are only interested in friendships with other women if they can get something out of it (usually sexual), and how it's been hard for me to be in hobby groups because a lot of my interests are male-centric. Etc. Etc. Etc. Etc.
These women won't "unpack" why they might feel uncomfortable as being women, and immediately go to "I don't like being a woman, I don't like that ___ happens to me because I'm a woman, so that means I'm a man", and so many others just cheerfully clap along. I've even seen this exact phrasing on multiple social media by TRAs. "If you don't like being male or female, then you're not".
Doing permanent harm to your body that will never make you any closer to being a male is not the route you should be taking.
How is it possible to hate being a woman and also insist that the meaning of "woman" or "man" can mean whatever you want?
Isn’t it interesting how these TIFs will take paragraphs and paragraphs to explain batshit nothing, but yet the TIMs will just say a singular sentence and then threaten violence if you disagree?
That's a really good observation. It's almost as though girls are raised to couch what we think in apologies and tentativeness, while boys are raised to think their every burp is gospel...
"It's so simple, you transphobes! Don't ask me to actually articulate my views, they are eternal truth and just so darn simple you should already know!"
'A man is someone who has body fat and a beard and yearns for manual labour, because that's what I want for myself'.
So all clean shaven men, men in good shape and lazy men are all... not men in your eyes? Okay. That doesn't leave many 'men' out there at all! 🤣
Also, I don't suppose she heard of bearded ladies before. Beards do not equal men.
These people have very strange ideas lol.
“A man doesn’t exist!”
If a man is nothing why do you want to become one? Same goes for TIMs , if a woman can be anything just by the virtue of saying that she identifies as one, why the plastic surgery? Why the hormones?
What a load of horse crap. What a load of words that say nothing.
And: The gender binary is not a naturally occurring phenomenon?
Bull! Tell that to every plant, bug, bird, and animal, including man. See what a paucity of plants and animals we would have if we populate the world with only those who self-pollinate.
This is so stupid. If you ask people to define a tea pot and tell them they can't say anything about tea, you'd also get "confusing, non-nuanced answers."
I bet Tim's will start defending the meaning on a word man very soon.
This thread strongly reminds me of one of my favorite songs, Seen and Not Seen by the Talking Heads, except they are somehow taking blatantly incomplete conceptualizations of social standards completely seriously instead of reflecting on them.
Body fat, facial hair, performs hard physical work.
This may describe more women than men.
My sides! Is this a man or a sled dog?
LMAO@yearns for manual labor
Tell that to all the sad sacks sitting on the couch while their wives and girlfriends do fucking everything
Sure, they sit on the couch but inside they yearn. That's how we can tell that they are men.
