Recommendation RequestRecommendations for 2020s feminist theory

Hello, I have a friend that I am reading about feminism with. She was a Women's Studies major back in the 90s, and and says she hasn't read much on the subject lately.

She is also a knee-jerk TRA. She knows how I feel, and thinks I'm transphobic (she also thinks she has something called "deep rooted transphobia" that she has to "work on") Mostly we both avoid the topic. She also voices a lot of woke talking points, and nothing I say sounds any different to her.

I told her that I thought things had gotten worse for women since the 90s. Although she agrees with me about the overturn of Roe V. Wade , the example I used, she really doesn't believe things are worse for women.

So I'm looking for suggestions for books we can read together, nothing obviously or overtly about trans. I was thinking of suggesting "Hags" by Victoria Smith because we're both middle-aged, but I wanted to give her.a few suggestions to choose from.

Feminist nonfiction, not too overtly GC, 2020 or later.

Any suggestions welcome.

Thank you.

What about Invisible Women: Data Bias in a World Designed for Men by Caroline Criado Perez?

Pornland by Gail Dines. Read this first, keeping in mind it’s from 2010, but as you read it you’ll instantly realize things have only gotten worse. Then listen to some of her more recent lectures or read some more recent essays by her.

If your friend can’t see the absolute landslide that has come down upon women due to the fact that practically every man is now constantly consuming of porn; I’m not sure if she can be reached.
