Well, it's a presidential election year in the United States. I assume there's going to be a lot of political discussion and debates all over the internet, including on Ovarit, more so than usual. I wonder if it might be a good time to have a bookclub for Right-Wing Women by Andrea Dworkin. I have been meaning to read it for a while now. (It looks like there was one almost two years ago, it was a single post for the entire book.)
Here is a brief summary and explanation of the book, along with a free PDF download of the book: https://frauenkultur.co.uk/right-wing-women-the-politics-of-domesticated-women/
This bookclub would be similar to the Why Does He Do That? bookclub running in /o/Books, where every week, I will post a chapter discussion post and we discuss the contents of the chapter.
There are six chapters in this book, so this bookclub would run for six weeks.
Is there any interest in such a bookclub? If so, let me know!
And if you are interested in this, and also following along with the Why Does He Do That? bookclub in /o/Books, do you mind if this overlaps with the Why Does He Do That? bookclub? I think I'd personally be fine reading two books at once for two separate online bookclubs, but I'm not sure if there are women on here who are following along with that one who would rather wait until it concludes before starting another bookclub. The WDHDT bookclub is going to last for another ten weeks at this point, based on how many chapters are left.
If there is interest, is there a preferred day of the week for the chapter discussion posts?
