Hi, all! I run an in-person monthly radical feminist group, the Chicago Feminist Salon. We've been meeting in person for over four years.
If you are a radical feminist who is in travel distance of Chicago and would like to join, you can write to radfemgroupjoin @ gmail dot com to be vetted. We have a pretty stringent vetting process that has meant we have never have any trolls bother us. :-)
I have been considering joining an IRL meetup. But not sure that I’d fit in. Can you tell me what these meetups are like?
is it bad or overly anxious that i'm scared to attend even though i'd love to? i'm in the city myself but with the way that radfem events are attacked and with gun violence on the rise, i'm really scared to even think about attending a radfem meetup. ):
I'm mostly scared because there's no way I am rad enough (in every sense) to join such a group. Haha. But for your fears I'm sure there are spots that provide enough anonymity and it could look like just a group of women hanging out.
I live in Madison but am terrified of Chicago traffic. If anyone wants to carpool around here, let me know!

I’m in San Francisco. So many lesbians and radical feminists moved out to the East Bay (especially Oakland) in the last 15 years where a community already existed. If anyone is still in San Francisco I’d consider meeting up.

I’m over due for a visit to the Windy City. I’ll take you up on this but I don’t know when.
I'm not from Chicago nor do I live there, but when I visited last I saw stickers on poles that said, "Dump your porn-addict boyfriend." Glad to see that there are active radfems there!
