Kellie Jay Keen said that if Canada doesn’t let her in for her speaking tour she’ll go to somewhere on the US/Canada border and invite Canadians to come over.
I suggested to her in a superchat that if that happens she may want to consider northern Maine or upstate NY (maybe even Niagara Falls).
She said she was considering that.
I’m just curious from ladies on the ground in those states - what’s the political climate like? I haven’t been to Maine in a few years but I feel like they’re probably the least radical of New England. I’ve always thought of it as “the Deep South of the north”. As for Niagara Falls, well, upstate NY tends to be more conservative than NYC, AND she could have the backdrop of lovely waterfalls. And if women have a difficult time crossing the border they could just gather on the Canadian side of the falls and yell their speeches over lol
EDIT: Holy shit, SENECA FALLS! She should go to SENECA FALLS! That would be perfect!!! A Seneca Falls Convention for the 21st century!
Thoughts?
