This circle is for sharing and discussing feminist or women-oriented events of all kinds, including local in-person events, online webinars, interactive calls, and livestreams. Post an upcoming event, let us know about an event you’re organizing, share your experience from an event you attended, or discuss ideas for a potential event.
Our goal is to share feminist events of all kinds, including global and local events, online and in-person, and to encourage and promote involvement in feminist causes and an understanding of current women's issues and women's history.
No health-oriented events, except those related to women's rights (menstruation, reproductive rights, harm due to only studying men, etc.).
If you want to share a local event, but don’t want to reveal your location, please DM a mod and we can post the event for you.
When posting an event, include the event name, location, date and time (with time zone), and cost, when applicable:
If local, add the location in brackets: Feminist Event [place name]
Include the date and time (with time zone): Feminist Event [date time (GMT)]
If not free, mention the price of event (fixed price or donation): Feminist Event [$5]
All feminist events are welcome, except those on health-related topics. Please be mindful of the Ovarit Sitewide Rules when discussing challenging or controversial content.
Articles about events that have already occurred should be posted in other circles.

Rules
Posts and comments should be about feminist events.
Be civil. Rude behavior, insults, name-calling, etc. will not be tolerated.
Posts and comments should encourage discussion.
No health-oriented events (except those related to women's rights, like menstruation, reproductive rights, harm to women from only studying men, etc.).
No pre-recorded videos.
I know I'm being a Debbie downer but I have a feeling this isn't going to go so well, we all know what TIPs/TRAs are like when it comes to this stuff
I understand your apprehension, but it's already over and went fine! TPAs were kept at a distance to repeat their usual tired chants and impotent noise-making, and attendees were able to gather, listen, and speak.
We're nearly 3 hours post-event now and so far I haven't heard of any LWS attendees being refused service at pubs or subjected to violence for having pro-woman attire, either, as was sadly the case following LWS Belfast.
All in all, it seems to have been one of the more peaceful LWS gatherings despite TPAs' best efforts to stir up trouble over the last few weeks. :)
