It's actually one of the things that peaked me. I see a lot of it on facebook and reddit. The first time I saw it on fb a TIM made a comment, I looked at his page and he had a comment about a woman neighbor who "misgendered" him and he wrote something like "somebody should go and shoot her". I then kept seeing it on several groups, and then most recently Bryan Fuller, the screenwriter behind Hannibal, American Gods and more, someone I admire for his creativity, responded to a tweet that asked him if he would "punch a terf" and he said that he totally would. I've honestly never seen a gender critical woman wish death or violence on transpeople, here, or the cancelled subreddits, but I see a lot of rape threats, and death almost daily on fb and reddit.

Please clarify. Will you be reporting expressions of violence from trans people towards the people who want to eradicate us to the police?

It's such a dramatic response to what is essentially them saying, "Hey, stop posting violent shit that you want to do"

They’re trying to save their own skin rather than recognise that advocating for violence against “terfs” (women) is bad. So fucking typical.

First of all, I hate the word "terf." It's 100% a misogynistic slur. I constantly see the term use to degrade, attack, insult, and silence women on Reddit. There has been an uptick in its use. As the mod states, it is now being used on Reddit to call for violence, including shooting people with a gun. We cannot let Reddit get away with hosting threats of violence on their platform. They are a company just like any other. They have an obligation to protect their users from threats of violence. The problem is getting so bad, moderators of transgender subreddits have not only had to acknowledge it, but actively let users know that it is not okay to threaten other people with violence on the site.

If you use Reddit, please continue to document and report this behavior. Reddit has a duty as one of the largest social media platforms to remove and sanction any user that does this. Please archive any posts and report them to admins. If the report comes back that the content did not violate Reddit's content policy, then request another review. This kind of behavior is not ok. You cannot kill someone just because you don't like what they say and Reddit is hosting those threats. They are responsible for them.

Immediately in the comments they also admit this policy only exists because reddit as a platform will shut them down so quick if they allow violence on the sub.

Before anyone comes in here to complain about why it's okay for TERFs and so on to threaten us with violence but we can't: this is a rule that Reddit (the company) takes very, very seriously. If a subreddit is found to have people planning threats of violence against anyone they'll close down the subreddit. No discussion. End of.

Top comment. They haven't developed any kind of self-awareness here about their own terrorism of peaceful women activists. No. They are still pushing the ridiculous lie that we are violent, still justifying the violence against us and they would keep doing it if they could.

Hilarious. It’s clear that they’re not saying it because threatening violence against a group of women is bad. But because it’s against Reddit’s rules. This is to protect the sub, not because they disagree.

that first comment shows how out of touch with reality these people are, i have never seen a "terf" advocating for the death of these people, we are simply asking for our sexual rights to be respected, while these are the ones who go to pride with "kill the terfs" slogans.

Is fascist violence on the rise? I never see any news articles about it. I can't think when the last time was that I saw an actual case of a trans individual being attacked because they were trans. Isn't this panic about being "under attack" that they like to spread among themselves just another one of their collective delusions?

Looking at the mod list of that subreddit... it's incredibly sad that it's being modded by mostly women (TiFs). Internalized misogyny is quite the drug.
