"You don't need to travel to New York to gain access to the wisdom of global feminists. Mark your calendars! The NGO CSW68 Forum will be taking place on 10 - 22 March 2024! An international gathering focused on women's rights and global gender equality. Registration is free!

The United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) focuses on the rights and empowerment of women and global gender equality. It's an intergovernmental body consisting of 45 Member State governments of the UN. As the Secretariat of the CSW, UN Women (an official UN agency), supports all aspects of the Commission's work. Global Rights for Women will be hosting two virtual events at CSW this year."

Most likely, as most government and government-funded agencies are. Just thought I'd share here, in case anyone is interested in attending this sort of thing.

I am new on Ovarit - are we supposed to only post events that are radical - or only post events from organizations that are radical? I work in domestic violence at a grant-funded state coalition, so many events or webinars that I know about are liberal, unfortunately.

No health-oriented events, except those related to women's rights (menstruation, reproductive rights, harm due to only studying men, etc.).

If you want to share a local event, but don’t want to reveal your location, please DM a mod and we can post the event for you.

When posting an event, include the event name, location, date and time (with time zone), and cost, when applicable:

If local, add the location in brackets: Feminist Event [place name]
Include the date and time (with time zone): Feminist Event [date time (GMT)]
If not free, mention the price of event (fixed price or donation): Feminist Event [$5]

All feminist events are welcome, except those on health-related topics. Please be mindful of the Ovarit Sitewide Rules when discussing challenging or controversial content.

Articles about events that have already occurred should be posted in other circles.
