From Women’s Liberation Radio News:
WLRN's Sound Engineer and Producer is leaving the Collective after 8 years of diligent service to pursue new passions and pastures.
Jenna will be sorely missed but this means there is a position open and a supportive women's media collective waiting to get to know YOU as you learn the ropes of Jenna's old job.
We operate as a collective which means everyone has a task they do to make the end results awesome. Each month we co-create a feminist podcast focused on a topic of interest. We model our style of journalism after the format of Democracy Now or All Things Considered on NPR.
We always have at least one interview, one commentary and a world news segment in each podcast. Different sisters are responsible for different segments and then the Producer weaves them all together into the whole.
Each member turns one or two screws every month to make our well-oiled machine hum. Jenna is going to hold a Zoom meeting to teach us how to turn her screw so she can leave gracefully and we can continue on.
This volunteer post requires computer access and 3-5 hours per month at the end of every month. No experience is necessary but if ya got it, great!
