I was wondering, what are your favorite brands for workout clothes? I usually just wear an old t-shirt and pants or shorts but so many of my shirts are over 5-10 years old and this past month 3 of them have fallen apart. I need a wardrobe update lol.
A few of my shorts are falling apart this year too after years of wearing. Running clothes that have lasted me years include Patagonia and Columbia sweaters, Adidas shirts and shorts, and I love balega socks. We normally sign up for a few virtual races every year and the race shirts lasts a few years too.
how are patagonia leggings? I need to buy new leggings and wanted to buy something sustainable, not too many alternatives
I only have a long sleeve top that is Patagonia, not leggings, but my top is great and has lasted many years so far. From what I know about Patagonia, it is a good brand. It's creators had a good vision and have protected a huge area in Argentina. Hence the name.
I haven't tried Patagonia leggings but I bet they're really nice. Pricey but they make good stuff. You can save some $$ by buying from Patagonia Worn Wear, I've gotten several like-new pieces from there at a great discount.
My favorite part is that they're wonderful about repairing your stuff if it gets worn out, and if it can't be repaired, they will give you store credit to get something new. This company really walks the walk re: sustainability.
I buy clothes in Decathlon. Good value for money
I 100% support their basic af swimming suit. It's what 5 euros? It does the job
I try to buy ethically for everything else, but cannot find any swimsuit ethical alternative
Other stuff is also decent and value for money
I've found good stuff at TJ Maxx for reasonable prices. I especially like their pants from Jockey. They sometimes have good Reebok tanks that are very breathable. My favorite pants for spin class are actually the crop workout pants from J. Crew. They aren't jersey I don't think but very similar. I do back-to-back classes in them and they're just right.
my favorite pair of leggings are from target back when they used to sell champion brand! but they don't anymore :/ however, target's new fitness brand (not joy lab, too colorful, the other one!) has these awesome "high impact" leggings, meaning I don't have to readjust my leggings when I do HIIT or run, bc the elastic band is tight enough to stay over my hip bones! they also have like cheaper tank tops and short sleeves for good price... tbh most of my fitness stuff is years old from target or randomly picked shirts from tj maxx!
I've found Under Armour tanks to be really sturdy. I bought 3 of them almost 10 yrs ago and they are still going strong despite heavy use.
Here's what I use:

Shorts: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08DTRNVBW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Bras: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07R7DXLLW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I'm also obsessed with these leggings when it's colder: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07XSL9HWL/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I love and highly recommend them all. The bras might run small though if you're busty. I'm flat as a board so I can't be trusted for bra purchases if you're bigger. I'm also pretty cheap, so if you're wanting branded or fancy, this ain't it, haha.
A breathable jersey material does wonders in my experience. My favorite is a cheap soccer jersey and shorts of the same material. I use an Under Armor sweatshirt for colder weather which is great.
