I was never athletic growing up but wanted to become strong a few years ago.
When I started deadlifting I couldn't even lift the "lady's" (ugh) bar. I struggled with a 30 lb barbell! I hit my personal best in 2018 of 165 lbs, got a pneumonia, and was working my way back up when COVID hit.
My "normal" deadlift before quarantine was about 125. Now I'm back down to about 60 lbs, but it feels great knowing I'll be able to work up to that goal again.
