I think I've hit my absolute fucking threshold for male protagonists in games. If a game won't give me the option to play a female character, I'm not fucking interested.
I have played so, so, SO many hours as a 15-40 year old white male character. I'm sick of connecting with these characters. I'm tired as hell of it. Give me a female protagonist. Give me a female character model. Female sprite art. Come on.
I'll see the gameplay trailer, I'll read the game description, I'll get super hype. The moment I see there's no female playable character, I'm fucking out. Enough is enough. I've spent two+ decades of gaming with a rolodex of white male avatars.
No more 15-40 year old white male protagonists. I'm full up for a lifetime.
