Tl;dr: Some of us who were nostalgic for the relaxed vibe of '00s fandom are working on a space. This is NOT an official ovarit thing! Nor is it just for ovaritors. It's not intended to be a political space; we just like not having to tiptoe around gendernonsense, and not having to wade through threats against 'terfs', and other fan spaces aren't great for that. We also just wanna be able to chat about fandoms and things we're making without someone marching in to lecture on how this or that ship is Problematic or how writing darkfic should be forbidden or how $creator should be cancelled, etc etc etc. If that appeals, I was asking people to comment in that first thread so I'd know to keep them posted, but I think that's archived now, so I guess comment on this one. :P We're small and trying to grow slowly so it may take a while to hear back, especially if you're on a new account, but things are moving! There will be no user accounts; think anon meme. For some reason the discussion atm is mostly Bojack Horseman, fountain pens, crackfic ideas, incense, gardening and musical instruments. But we have a few gamers and it'd be nice to have more. :)

I cannot deny it, but I was a bit worried that if I said there were spidermites, then a fan of spidermites would be sorely disappointed by the animosity toward them. But then again, is there such a thing as a fan of spidermites?

I somehow missed the other posts so I'm glad you posted about it here! I'm interested. You mentioned missing LJ in one of the other posts and wow, I feel that. I miss the magic LJ had very much.
I'm interested! I'm participating in a few game devs' discord servers and seeing the gender cult pushing their way into those spaces is somewhat distressing when they're supposed to be focused on the games and having fun no matter where you stand on any political/identity issue. It's not that I find trans people distressing per se, it's only when they insist on pushing their creeds in these spaces.
I'd be interested, though I don't know how much I'll have in common with others game-wise in it.
Yeah, at the moment we have a few lonely posts for an odd mix of games, but then it's still so small I'd be more surprised if we did have loads of overlap. Best thing to do is to post about whatever and see if anyone shows up, really.
Not sure how much I could participate, but I'd like to know where you end up. Always looking for more content that's not hyper woke or hateful, just fun. If there's a fandom for HGTV I could probably mod it though lol

I'd be interested, seems like a lot of fandom spaces are firmly on either end of the toxic/woke spectrum and it'd be nice just to have some place to hang out comfortably.

Haha well people can make threads for whatever, what's against the rules will be barging into a thread to ship war. So someone can make a thread "darth vader/batman is the best ship ever!" and someone else can make a "darth vader/batman is a shitty nonsensical ship, fite me, darth vader/barbie 4 lyf" thread, but the important thing will be to keep threads in the spirit of the OP instead of telling people what they can/can't like or what they can/can't write when they just want to relax and enjoy things (or enjoy hating on a thing).
