The Talos Principle was a first-person physics-based puzzle game (think Portal) with a really neat philosophical sci-fi narrative. You play as an android tasked with solving puzzles, guided by the voice of your mysterious maker, Elohim. The game has lots of biblical and mythological references, and discussions about free will, purpose, humanity, etc. Some secrets to discover as well, hidden behind more difficult puzzles.
The sequel is coming out early november, and the demo just released. I really enjoyed it. The puzzles are very similar so far, with new elements being gradually introduced. The demo was pretty easy but that's to be expected. The story seems promising and there were some cutscenes and interactable npcs in the introduction, though in the puzzle levels you are alone again, reading and listening to logs. You can ask an npc for a recap of the first game, but I imagine it works better as a refresher. Graphically it looks nice as well, although it didn't run super well so I hope that gets fixed for the full release.
