As title states, this is a bit of a rant but nonetheless:

I am so tired of gender woo bullshit being shoe-horned into games. Like it’s the most innocuous games too, that all of a sudden you’re playing it and some character in the game just has to be nonbinary.

Like really?? Is it really that necessary to have an animal character in a game be a “they/them”??

I’ve been trying to find good games to play on my phone and I just had to delete yet another one because the character that helps you go through the tutorials and whose powers you can use is a “they”. I was playing a card game called “Creatures of Aether”, and I was actually enjoying it until I clicked on the character’s creature card and the fucking sheep (which is ironic in itself) was described as a “them”.

This isn’t the first time I’ve come across nonbinary bullshit in games either. Or gender woo in general. Some Pokémon-esque role-playing games on the App Store had it possible that you could switch your character’s sex mid game. And it was asking me for money??? Fuck no, I deleted that so fast.

I’m just so tired, all I wanted was to play a fun game.
