This is why I hate when male teachers (and even men who have nothing to do with the field) complain about how "they can't interact with the kids like female teachers can because they'd get in trouble".

Yes!!! I used to be a Contrapoints fan (ironically enough, it was HIS content that peaked me) and in his "Men" video he talked about how it hurt his feelings when women would switch to the other side of the street when it was dark out.

Contrapoints was responsible for my peaking too! It was the Rowling video. I was trying so hard to understand just what was so offensive about what she said, and his little dog whistle T charts of "what she really means" made it click for me that the Trans is just making it the fuck up.
Me too! After that video I was expecting Rowling's essay to be some frothing-at-the-mouth diatribe of vitriolic hate for people identifying themselves as trans, but instead I was like, "these are the very same concerns I have had and then some!" I then tried to bargain in a 20k word essay of my own to synthesis some sort of acceptable middle ground, but there's not one, really. I'm a bit sad that the essay seems to have no use now, unless I re-titled it "The Handmaid's Bargain" and it could be an example of trying to voice concerns from within the language of the cult.
I feel so angry when men blame women for acting how they do, when it's obvious women act that way BECAUSE MEN HURT THEM. Do they seriously think women are cautious around men to be mean?! IT'S FOR SAFETY, BECAUSE MEN AS A CLASS HAVE PROVEN THEMSELVES TO BE UNSAFE TO WOMEN AS A CLASS. People need to stop expecting others change for them. They need to change themselves.
If a woman chooses to "be nice" and not be cautious when there is a strange man walking behind her: best case scenario the man is just a man minding his own business and nothing happens; worst case scenario he can assault, rape, or kill her.
If a man walking behind a woman has the woman in front of him acting alert and cautious due to him being behind her: worst case scenario he "feels bad" and thinks the woman is a sexist meanie; best case scenario he doesn't even notice her change in behavior, because many men are oblivious to women's feelings and fears, and carries on his merry way.

I have a child in a daycare and I kept getting bad vibes from the previous one he was in because they didn't introduce staff and I had no idea who the countless rotating people were in the classroom, some of which were men. I second guessed myself so much, afraid to be painted as "that mom" and a Karen. But the words in this article shook me: "The email also said the suggestion that the centre should notify parents about new staff, especially males, was 'grossly inappropriate'."
That is terrifying stuff and I hate that we must stifle our instincts.
