Advice WantedTrash pandas! Raccoons chased me out of my garden at its 4 pm and the sun is shining!
Argh! raccoons have moved under my house and taken over the asylum. They dig up my garden every night. How do I get rid of them. I had to pick up my cat like a football and race her into the house bc they were having a staring contest and I didn't want to see who would win.

The majority of these men are being killed while working in an illegal, shady line of work where robberies and violence are par for the course, not because dudes are jumping into their cars on a Friday explicitly looking to murder TIMs because of their gender non-conformity. It's sad yet they are still promoting "sex work is work" instead of other educational/ training/ work programs for trans people.

They actually think that LGBs are on their side after they have bullied them, vilified them, insulted them and destroyed their community. I can' t remember the number of lesbians I have seen saying that they are at a point in which they prefer spending time with straight people than members of their own community because straight people are more tolerant and less homophobic than alphabeth soupers.

From my understanding, super bi means being attracted to both non-trans women and non-trans men but not transpeople (independent of their sex).

The bonding is wonderful because most sane people know that calling someone names, threatening them, doxxing them and trying to get them fired for not wanting to date you is absolutely vile behavior. I said this yesterday on Reddit. Imagine if I hit on an attractive woman, she politely declines and then I threaten to rape her, doxx her, call her job and call her a lesbophobe for not wanting to date me? It's not normal behavior and I'm tired of pretending it is.

Honestly, as a lesbian, my straight friends are more on my side and more invested in getting me a girlfriend than any of my "queer" friends ever were. Now that we're over the "ew, homosexuals" hump, the straights have my back more than the T ever has. (I would say straight people don't belong at Pride still, but it's honestly a concept that's barely functioning as a rainbow capitalist nightmare by this point, so they can have it for all I care.)
Yeah. Homophobia continues to be very real in the US, and not just in rural Christian communities; I've definitely encountered worldly, educated, left-leaning women who were okay with lesbians in theory but creeped out by lesbians in practice. That being said, I am much happier hanging out with the straight people who are okay with lesbians than I am tiptoeing through the minefield/Superfund site that is the current "queer community."
Yes! Exactly about the left-leaning women being uncomfortable with actual lesbians. There does seem to be an effort in queer spaces to reduce two women in a relationship to something that's just cute and snuggly rather than actual sexual attraction. My straight male friends get it, possibly because at least we're all attracted to women and they similarly cannot understand the appeal of men lol
Majorities should never invade safe spaces meant for minorities. Period.

I think it's all gone underground again tbh. I went to pride for the first time in...god, 2007? My local city has a big one. It lasted over ten hours I think, but I went home after six. Even then, every damn company on the planet felt the need to have a float, so it was perhaps a lost cause after the '90s. I went again three years ago and it was mostly straight couples and drunk people and chaos, but with rainbows. A nightmare.
I never would have imagined that gays, lesbians, bi people, and straight people would end up teaming together to form a new identity umbrella, but I think it's working for them!
