Reactions to the San Francisco protest against the Self-ID law in Germany were overwhelmingly supportive.
Lots of supportive honks and thumbs up from people after they read the signs the women were holding. Most people in the Bay Area don't buy gender ideology.
If San Francisco is well and truly done with this bullshit then everywhere is well and truly done with this bullshit.
My initial thought was the opposite - people in SF have met enough TIMs to realize they're pornsick fetishists, but elsewhere they're still buying the narrative of them being poor oppressed victims of being born in the wrong body, facing irrational hate from bible-thumping bigots.
I think you are right, but I also think attitudes are changing rapidly.
Attitudes are changing. The people of San Francisco have recalled the city attorney, because he was so progressive, he wouldn’t do anything to address crime. A couple of school board members were voted out, because the board was deciding which schools would be renamed because the names were politically incorrect. This was during Covid when parents wanted the schools to reopen.
That's good! I saw protests outside the German embassy in London on X today. They also seemed to have a lot of support.
I am one of those women in the SF. lol. I've spoken with a lot of women here--once they hit 30 the trans thing no longer holds their interest. It is mostly under-30s.
