Autogynephilia (AGP) has become a sort of catch-all term for most of the people featured on itsafetish, yet I wanted to discuss a sort of distinction between AGP men and homosexual transexual (HSTS). The traditional pathology posits that there are two types of trans-identifying males: autogynephilic men and homosexual transsexual men. One reason for the distinction is that autogynephilia is considered to be an extension of heterosexuality.
However, we can see that gay males who are trans often fetishize women or feel validated as "women" through sexual motivations. This is most frequently witnessed within the sissy hypno community and specifically the racist subculture version that fetishizes black men. These men are often gay men who fantasize about being dominated by black men. A further subculture of this includes fantasies of being bred.
This may be a distinction without a difference, but I enjoy accuracy for accuracy sakes. Basically, I strongly believe there is a difference between the experience of autogynephilic men who fetishize the experience of being a woman or imagining themselves as women and gay men who indulge in a sexual misogyny for their validation of their trans identities. Therefore, I have created a flair for posts called "Erotic Femininity" to represent this idea. While the flair may not be limited to gay men, the idea is to add nuance to the difference between a man gaining sexual pleasure to the thought of being a woman versus validating his trans identity through the sexual roles and sexual expectations of women.
Femininity by itself felt too vague as I do not mean fetishizing nail painting and skirt twirling, but things like submissiveness, bottoming, performing blow jobs, etc. It is men equating sexual stereotypes of women as validation or proof for their transition.
An example of this difference is an AGP man seeking out men to cum on his face, because it makes him feel like a woman. The AGP man in this situation is not getting turned on from the man or from an attraction to men, rather the man / his cum is merely a tool for the AGP man to gain pleasure from enacting something that fulfills his fantasies of womanhood. A gay man seeking out men to cum on his face is likely gaining pleasure from his attraction to men / cum as manifestation of an attraction to men generally. He may feel validated retroactively or even connect his actions to trans identity in the moment, but he is not gaining sexual pleasure from this idea of being a woman isolated from the male partner. Performing sexual femininity for the benefit of the male partner vs for the benefit of the self as an attraction towards females. (Does this make sense???)
Both are channeling a misogynistic ideation of womanhood, but I argue that there is a source of pleasure that is different between the two. (Not arguing for which one is better or worse than the other btw.)
in a way, i feel like women have become a fetish, beyond sexual orientation. we are so objectified by society that we can’t go topless because our very bodies are linked to the idea of sex.
i wonder if some HSTS perform “erotic femininity” because of this conditioning, despite not being attracted to women. on reddit, i used to see these comment threads about how everyone loves boobs, including gay men and straight women.

The sissy fetish/community/hypno is exclusively AGP. The BBC thing would have to be decided on an individual basis. But I'd argue the majority of TIMs in online BBC communities are AGP just by default of being TIMs on the internet.
As a rule of thumb, when what looks like HSTS and AGP behavior co-occur in the same TIM or when a TIM appears to share qualities of both (e.g., Gigi Gorgeous), it's fairly safe to assume AGP.
As time goes by I understand this more and more. There are a lot of perverts HSTS out there, basically. And for the "lesbian" ones, they're not as overwhelmingly AGP as previous generations.
