I feel so, so bad for lesbians. They already have a small dating pool by virtue of their sexual orientation, and then they have to deal with fetishists of all kinds invading their spaces. It must be so hard to find actual lesbian communities online, considering "trans women are women you TERF !!!", and the little darlings can't be excluded from anything or else it's literal genocide.

Me too. I'm bi, but I wanted to find women to date because I'm pretty turned off by men at this point, and downloading "lesbian" apps was a waste of time. My region is pretty conservative and yet there are so many "lesbian non binary" men in the apps... It must be horrible for lesbians in woke areas.

So I once actually sat down and tried to use this site and other statistics I found to calculate out the percentage of users on AL who are clearly men, and it's harder than you'd think. As the screenshot mentions, these metrics are probability multipliers, so the only way to break it down to exact numbers is to determine how many people post and comment on Reddit in general, how many people post and comment on AL, and how many people post and comment on the trans subreddits. This is almost impossible to do since there are general statistics for posting/commenting on Reddit but none for specific subreddits and even the general Reddit ones are somewhat confounded by unclear differentiation between total comments/posts and individual commenters/ posters. Then you have to take these fuzzy numbers and extrapolate to individual subreddits, which is almost certainly inaccurate since lots of people comment or post very occasionally but in certain subs it trends to regulars more than randoms.

Bottom line is my very, very rough estimates came out to about 20-30% of AL posters are men. My guess is that among frequent posters that percentage is much higher, but I have no way to prove it without greater insight into the actual poster/commenter numbers. This is lower than most people think given these multipliers, but I think it's still pretty shocking. You have at minimum a one in five chance that a given commenter or poster on a lesbian sub is a delusional man or boy. How the fuck did we get here???

They actually did an official demographics survey a while back and it came back as the following (these were their options, you could select more than one):

62.4% cisgender women, 27% transgender women, 12.3% non-binary, 5.2% genderqueer, 2.3% other, 8.3% questioning.

I’m gonna guess the 62.4% of cis women are straight or bi, considering the amount of dick that’s upvoted there

Ironically, the only sub where oily pictures of actual women are posted would be the lesbian porn ones.

that sub is such a cesspool. i joined a good while ago because, you know, i thought it would be actual lesbians as opposed to r/lesbians or whatever that is just male-catered lesbian porn, and i was heavily let down.
