Recently I saw a TIM post in a mostly female subreddit. Out of curiosity I went to his page and somewhat quickly found that he posted himself in a sexual fetish subreddit. On this same initial subreddit and a few other women’s subreddits, I kept up this habit. A TIM would post, I’d check out their history. Sometimes it would come up right away, other times I’d have to go farther back, but eventually I’d find posts in their history that basically linked their transgenderism to sexual fetishes. Since I started doing this about a month and a half ago, I think there was only 1 TIM I found that seemingly didn’t have this connection (though could be possible the sexual stuff was on a throwaway account or something).
Likewise, on twitter when I see people defending heinous crap I’ll peek at their profile and see that they’re trans, usually TIM but occasionally TIFs as well. I do the same on Facebook now as well, though FB can be a bit harder to see more posts and details with privacy settings.
But, try it next time you’re in a space online and you see someone that identifies themselves in the post as trans. Peek at the profile. It’s a bit insane how often I see the connection.
