It's all so dire and cynical. I take every chance i get to tell people that, no, it wasn't a drag queen who started the riots, it was a biracial Black woman, and she was a lesbian, a protector of women, a proud and distinctly female human being who defied the norms of a violent patriarchal society and was not a "trans kweer femme" in ANY way.

Yes ma’am. I so often see black women as much as they can to protect other women and they never get the recognition they rightly deserve.
Worth noting that "Leon, of Kelly and Leon minstrel show fame" made his name in performative racism before making the lateral move to his new career in performative misogyny.
