One of my favorite professors and one of the only lesbian professors I had as a student is apparently trans now, or “enby.”

What to even say? I am just disappointed and embarrassed to have put so much faith in someone who would fall for the woo. She has to be at least 45 or 50 based on how long she has taught at my uni.

I believe she separated from her first wife a few years ago when her wife transed (I do not know if that is why they broke up, but it seemed a bit like the ex wife was having a mid life crisis).

I always felt sorry for her because of that. Maybe now my former prof is having a mid life crisis of her own? Her new partner is also some kind of gender special woman.

I guess this is what happens when you are in a certain type of higher ed humanities department for long enough, it must be hard to see beyond your immediate surroundings. Being a lesbian probably doesn’t earn you diversity bonus points anymore, and people probably suspect you are an evil terf. Maybe if you identify as genderspecial and queer, you are allow to have a sexual preference for only other genderspecial queer women (aka lesbians caught in the woo). It’s just sad to see. Every day there are more lesbians that I formerly knew and respected that choose the woo over womanhood.

Refrain from overgeneralizing your own experience onto others, or implying that what was true for you is necessarily true for all lesbians.
No criticism of sexual boundaries or relationship boundaries.
No content questioning one's lesbian orientation. Posts like 'When did you know?' are okay, but posts like 'What am I?' are not. We cannot tell you what you are. Similarly, refrain from unfounded speculation regarding the sex lives and sexuality of other women.
Gender-critical or trans-critical content lacking a lesbian focus will be removed.
No derailing or hijacking. This refers to posting a comment that is unrelated to the topic of the post, which often kills the original discussion.
No pornography. NSFW posts must be marked as such.
No selfies or other sharing of personal identifying information; no spam; and no self-promotion.
No using the exclusivity of the circle in bad faith towards/about the rest of the site, its content, or other users, who cannot respond if they've been misunderstood or misrepresented.
