We as the older generation of LGB adults need to put our foot down. Yesterday I was in the library and they didn't have LGB✂️T posted for pride month, it was "Queer History and Pride". I am not queer. I am a homosexual. Trying to bundle LGB in with the other gender identity and kink spectrum is only damaging us.
I went to the manager and asked why they had used "queer", a known slur, instead of the acronym (even though I hate how many letters they use now). She said that it was fine according to academia. I told her it was not fine to refer to my community as the slur my middle school friends had to scrub off their lockers and the slur people yelled at me when they threw bottles at me in the street all those years ago.
Homosexual, not queer. Bisexual, not queer. I watched some of the "kinksters" at Pride videos this week, I was horrified. We are at parody and perversion within the community. You are a woman. You have a voice. Collectively it is our inaction that allows men to speak over us.
It is your duty as a lesbian to stand up. Correct the youth. It is your duty as an adult to start laying down the law. When my niece began discovering her bisexuality through Tik tok and refered to me as a "queer elder", I had to have a reckoning with her. I encourage you to do the same.
You can't stand up to Trans because you're worried about backlash? Coward, I might call you, but own your personal position within your professional life is your own. You can't stand up to queer? Coward full stop. You can never reclaim a slur. Don't let these kids get away with casual homophobia just because "I kissed a Girl" made them have a curious moment. Academia doesn't lead us. We lead us.
Fight on. Fight well. Don't let them ever catch you with your chin down.

This gives the gist of it. He’s a center-right economist and came out as trans with the most ridiculous of posts. Some of his claims of being a woman is that he has had medical scans that have confirmed he has female brain biology, hence the above image. And by confirmed, for some reason he linked to the song Wonder by Natalie Merchant. Multiple times he links to random songs that have no relevance to what he’s saying, it was just weird. He also said that XX females have the genes for developing testes (we don’t), and made a bunch of other bunk science claims
Is he serious because that's a pretty ridiculous statement to make in 2025. Like, a "brain scan"? Really? Even by TRA standards it's passe. He's like a decade late.
