TV and MediaRandom Shows
Posted August 3, 2022 by Southpaw in Lesbians

My wife and I were talking about how disappointing lesbian media can be sometimes and I just wanted to share some shows that we have both watched and enjoyed. I know there is a spreadsheet of Lesbian TV/Movies somewhere and I don't remember these on there. I just wanted to let you all know of two that I have enjoyed and don't remember on the last list I saw:

Q-Force (Netflix)- Don't let the "Q" deter you. It has a very gay cast and might be more enjoyable among the "old gays" but I really enjoyed it. It's funny. You can watch it and not really pay attention and still have a laugh. There is a lot of drag in there, which I know is controversial.

Into the Badlands(Netflix or FX)- This is a martial arts/dystopian show. I really liked it and my wife absolutely loved the bad guy from season 1. One of the side characters is a lesbian who doesn't die and doesn't fall on a dick. I really liked the show. It got cancelled abruptly so the ending is tolerable. The main character is a bit broody at times but the casting is phenomenal. There is a decent amount of diversity and the cast had to do a lot of physical training for their roles. The acting at some points is "meh" but I enjoyed it.

If you know of any good lesbian shows, let me know. Thanks!!

****Is there a spreadsheet of TV/Movies that we can add to? Let me know and I will delete this.

I saw the movie this weekend and really loved it too. One of the co-directors of the How to Train Your Dragon series directed and the other one was an executive producer on it, both of which I realized after watching it, so I’m not surprised I loved it. They’re also the same guys who did Lilo and Stitch. I think they’re my favorite creatives in the animation industry at the moment.

You make a compelling case. I will probably give this a watch.

Glad to hear it's a good movie, my ex husband recommended it because I'm a "good mom" so I've been wondering what hidden insult was there or whether he wants points for leverage for something later. Guessing if the movie really is good, it's the latter 😂

I read my kids the book, and I plan to take them to the movie as well.

As a mother myself, I found it really awesome that the story is about being a mother. There are a lot of "cute kid and gruff man" stories out there, but not so many stories like this.

My husband and I took the kiddo to go see it. It was a beautiful movie. There are a lot of flashing lights though, so make sure you take your anti-convulsive meds if you have seizure issues!

I actually did like the fact that they were 100% upfront about how nature is generally not kind, there are (off-screen) deaths in the movie but it was handled in a way that should not be traumatizing to kids at all.

I actually texted my old boss and recommended she go see the movie immediately after leaving.

I live out in the country and the nearest movie theater has senior citizen tickets before 6 pm for $6.00.

They have the usual inflated prices for popcorn and food, though.

I’m not a senior citizen, so if there was something nearby like that, I wouldn’t be able to take up the opportunity
