As alws, follow the money. That lump-sum donation—which (purely to my gut-level intuition, as someone who knows less than nothing about the operating budgets of domestic nonprofits) seems like an awfully fuckin' low price for, effectively, bribing one of the country's formerly most genuinely respectable NGOs into completely subverting its mission and traducing its chartered purpose (as opposed to "just" having rogue actors like Strangio installed in miscellaneous named positions of influence where they work essentially as double agents, which was basically the situation before everybody collectively failed to "beware of Strykers bearing gifts" as the ancient Greeks used to say).

Jon Stryker, for anyone here who doesn't know, is the billionaire heir (grandson of the founder) to the Stryker Medical Devices fortune, and the head of the company-founded and -funded Arcus Foundation, which I believe is the single highest-dollar institutional backer of trans activism.

Unsurprisingly enough, Mr. Stryker is one of the very worst people in the world (as measured by a combination of personal amoral depravity and actual capacity to do harm)—just like almost everybody else who has ever inherited vast personal wealth as an accident of birth.

Stryker Medical makes durable medical equipment, especially surgical fixtures and specialty furnishings for operating rooms. The Cui bono? question in this case is REALLY not one of life's challenge problems.

Also keep in mind that the entire Forbes 400—literally all 400 of them, and also at least the next hundred thousand or so people in the net worth rankings—comprises people who are so emotionally/socially/relationally bankrupt, and so subhuman (for lack of a better word), that they still leave their families behind every single day to go to their corporate jobs, which they often even have the audacity to whiningly describe as stressful (!), to make even MORE money—even though extra money, whether it's liquid or just a theoretical construct on paper, is literally incapable of being anything other than points on a scoreboard at that point or anywhere close. There's NOTHING in this world that a person worth $50 billion can afford that someone worth 10% or 1% of that amount can't afford just as easily, so additional money is nothing other than extra piss in a pissing match that represents the entire meaning of life for those dipshits.

(BTW please don't step to this with happy-smiley-ass objections about "personal passions"... Every huge corporation is exactly the same as every other huge corporation, above a certain level of scale that F400 execs' companies have long since surpassed—leaving any semblance of "personal passion" in the same rearview mirror as their company's fledgling startup selves.)

I'm just gonna go ahead and say that↑ is substantially—and obviously (a word I use neither indiscriminately nor lightly)—MORE pathological and maladaptive than a habit of leaving bills unopened on account of a weird-ass cult-induced phobia, especially when the phobic person is able to absorb the resulting financial and credit hit without any real disruption of Her/her/his life.

imean like, I don't know that story in full inglorious detail or anything, but it's not as though Strangio was teetering on the brink of becoming destitute or homeless from neglecting all those bills—and that's even if we're all fool enough to trust that every single detail of the story we've been told by a very well-remunerated professional liar, whose entire livelihood flows directly from exaggerating the severity of that exact thing to the extent of genuinely canp self-parody, is the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
Since neither you nor I were born in the very last ten minutes of yesterday, we can both surmise pretty quickly that the REAL story—and along with it, the actual extent of the phobia that Strangio is very very well paid and publicized specifically to exaggerate—is far more mild. I honestly doubt there was ever anything beyond the boringly mundane amount of absent-mindedness that you get from practically every AS ("spectrum") kid everywhere ever.

I say every word of this, btw, as someone who enjoys landing on "Chase" Strangio's side of absolutely anything at all—let alone almost defending her as the lesser of 2 weevils—about as much as I would probably enjoy eating my own poop, AND as somebody who knows a large number of rich (but NOT ultra rich, and nowhere even close to oligarch-level rich) businesspeople who are classy, generous, socially savvy people who solidly appreciate the value of a dollar and a day's work and who genuinely leave the world better than they found it.

Despite those conflicts of interests, I'm still completely unconflicted in my absolute certainty that the Forbes 400 are worse, more fucked up, less human humans than Strangio and it's not even close. They're literally 400 psychopaths out of 400... and they're the people running the world's largest and most influential corporations, which are every bit as culturally formative as Our Institutions™ if not more so.
