Sorry for the downer post, I feel like all of my posts in this circle have been about my struggles with my gf over this issue. This is the only place I have to talk about this with other women who understand my point of view without opening up another xan of worms with a friend when all I wanna do is cry about the end of my first relationship (which was going great aside from this one issue!!!! So sad that I lost my gf because I don't think a man can become a lesbian?!)

She ended things because she feels like our differences on gender identity (especially my being a radical feminist) make us incompatible. If I'm being honest, I knew that but I wanted it to be an issue that we could work through or atleast agree to disagree on. But the more days pass, the more I realize that no, I want my relationship to be the one safe space I have irl to actually speak the truth and be accepted. I didn't think this would be a dealbreaker for me but now I know my next girlfriend will be a lesbian and a radical feminist, I won't be in a committed relationship with someone I have to hide/water down my beliefs for or bite my tongue around.

It sucks because I live in a super liberal city so I'll have to wait awhile to find another rad fem lesbian. Just gonna enjoy being single and flirting w women this summer and not worry about a relationship until I find a woman who I click with whose also a lesbian who "gets it" (it being the reality of same-sex attraction....)

"I catch myself sometimes standing in positions that no man would ever do..."

Just sex stereotypes again. Apparently you have to stand in a masculine way (whatever that means) or you're not a "real man."

I mean, positioning your legs in a way that smushes the penis would probably be a NON masculine was of standing, but other than that… lol
