Hello! This is my first post and I'm excited to be here :)
I want to get your opinions/observations on the state of the lesbian community in your countries if you are from/live in Europe (and more specifically, Eastern Europe).
I'm in my late 20s, from the Balkans and a few years ago I tried to get more inloved in the local scene but something just didn't feel right (I had not yet peaked and was just happy to be able to participate in something and feel "involved").
Thinking of it now, even then there was too much focus on the whole gender ideology thing and it made me feel uncomfortable. I wanted to join a support group marketed towards "women loving women", but when I read they admitted TIMs and NBs, I never went. It made me feel sad then and angry now that there isn't a place just for us lesbians.
I went to Pride in 2018 and 2019 but felt disgusted to be associated with this side of the "LGBTQ" community and I don't think I'll go again. I don't want to be seen there - not for fear of homophobic violence against me (a very real threat) but because I don't want people to think I'm the same as those "genderspecials".
What is the situation in your parts of Europe?
