Im just gonna say it, I think some of us same sex attracted females could benefit from an alternative label, and ive come up with one for those who are like me:
"FGP"
Definition: Female gynephile
The FGP feels that she is afflicted by same sex attraction. She has frequent thoughts about sex with women
-She struggles to form relationships with women both inside and outside of the homosexual community - particularly platonic ones
-She may struggle with porn use despite being morally and politically opposed to it
-While she is highly sexually motivated, she may struggle to act out her desires with partners due to shame
Relationships with men:
-sex is/was a means to self harm
-cold and indifferent to past male partners
-Both platonic and sexual relationships with sensitive or submissive men serve as a surrogate for f/f relationships
-Has m/f sex to reward man, not for self gratification
Other traits:
-Aggressively gender neutral, doesnt feel "butch" or "femme"
-body dysmorphia, feeling like you're alien in your own body
-feeling unclean
-Hypersensitive to criticism from women
-Prefers one-on-one socialization to group socialization (significant distinction)
-Fear of female partner's friends
-Feeling like people will "find out" that you like women despite openly dating women
-feeling like you dont belong in some female spaces despite being a woman who identifies as a woman (like the other women deserve a space away from you)
How might the "FGP" label benefit the lesbian community?
-gives an identity to same sex attracted women who may not wish to associate themselves with the "lesbian" label due to current politics within the "gay" community
-may be less likely to be co-opted by certain people due to its less cute and cuddly terminology
-Can lead to the formation of safe spaces for those who identify as FGP to share their unique and distinct experiences
Relating to the FGP label does not mean you cant call yourself a lesbian and vice versa

It’s a damn shame because it’s an excellent idea for a website but I can’t bring myself to make an account because of this, and even otherwise a MAN should not be running a site for what is historically a woman’s craft. The glass elevator makes me sick and I do not support men in fiber arts or any other historically women’s art form. FOH scrotes
THIS. The men that are on there (designers and knitters) are absolutely fawned over by many women, too, and they’re first to barge into spaces and self-promote. They make me sick.
Actually, Casey's wife was running the site. He was helping in the background and handled the tech stuff. I loved the site until he transitioned and started going off on people.
