TV and MediaAn alternate to lesbian connection
Posted February 13, 2025 by HoneycreeperBird Lesbian in Lesbians

I just came across a new physical publication that is a zine that works similar to LC, in that it works on submissions from its readers. The main perk is that this magazine is exclusively female. It has an explanation on its website that the magazine’s “intention is not to exclude unfairly, it is most definitely our intent to reclaim at least one literary space exclusively for women, recognizing that many online, in print and real life spaces already exist for "intramural" exploration”.

Its main focus is towards lesbians, which I like, but it seems that it’s also open to straight and bisexual women whom they term our “female allies”. It seems that we really can’t find a literary magazine solely for us lesbians without some outward interference, or even lesbian spaces online it seems (the L Community online apparently is open to bisexuals despite advertising it having a lesbian focus). The options then, are dealing with trans shit invading Lesbian Connection, or this new magazine that is radically feminist but allows a space for non-lesbian women to engage with (and also is not free). It seems the only section in the zine for straight and bisexual women to engage with is the health section.
