discussionSmall Thing My Date Did - Red Flag or Overthinking?
So yea on a date at Restaurant with Gal Pal. It's only our second date but we've been texting nonstop and the chemistry is alright. I can see us happily being friends or getting really attached to each other romantically.
She got an order I didn't like and I teased her about some stuff on her plate. She picked something up and kinda puts it in my face as a joke.
We're eating and yapping back and forth and she kinda does it again, like puts the food in my face, and it's like haha okay and I tell her to stop kinda jokingly.
Well we're still talking and soon enough the conversation takes a serious turn. I'm opening up about how my dog died last year (we were talking about pets) Obviously it's not a fun topic and as I was kinda concluding, describing my poor dog's last days and his condition, she picks up the food and puts it in my face again.
I laugh it off though this time I don't really find it that funny because I was sharing something serious and she chose a bad time to do that again.
It's obviously not a big deal, it wasn't blatantly cruel or rude, just some social ineptitude, but it left a bad taste in my mouth.
What do y'all think?
