Hi. I watched the movies with Milla Jovovich, Animated with Leon S Kennedy and the reboot with Avan Jogia.
Of course the movies are always geared too much towards a male audience, but I did like some of the action and plot scenes. I think my favorite is Afterlife when Alice and Claire Redfield fight the Axeman and win. Before this Alice wanted to take a shower but recognized the zombie voyour and killed him.
Finale Chapter was lesbophobic but then had some power scenes too. They wrote the plot in favor to Alice, she got her happy end but it felt unfullfilled, like they didn't wanted to let Claire sit on the bike behind Alice and both drive into the unknown apocalyptic future. The world would belong to both of them, this view hides inside the movie.
Its been awhile since I saw the Final Chapter. Howbwas it lesbophobic?
WELL,Ruby Rose character role was killed with the scissors of a turbine She is a well known lesbian media figur. Seeing her in such a role, was not really funny. I feel it was misogynistic. The other lesbophobic thing is the ending scene, when Alice and Clair aren't on the bike together.
