"Mating behavior with a dead individual" was recorded for the first time in a wild primate in a red-tailed macaque - An extremely valuable observation case that approaches the elucidation of the primate view of life and death..."

If not for Ovarit, I would never have known about the high incidence of male morgue workers having sex with female corpses. When I saw this headline, I knew straight away that the "dead individual" was a female and the ones exhibiting the "mating behaviour" were male.

My apologies if this is in the wrong circle. There wasn't anywhere more obvious to put it. It's in Japanese, but Google automatically translates Japanese into English for me.

One of my best friends is dating a man that used to run the morgue at our local hospital...yikes.

I mean male animals attempt to mate with legs, inanimate objects… all sorts of things

This is one of the reasons why when women and men say "it's just an educational thing, if we taught our sons to respect women, this wouldn't exist", I don't fully agree with them. Sure, education is not a negligible tool in the feminist arsenal, but it is no holy grail.

And that's also why liberal feminism is so superficial and radical feminism so important. And depressing, especially if you are attracted to that part of the population.

Males of all species need to get a grip. Are they ALL perverts? Wtf

Urban coyotes are great. So far, they're the only species known to be 100% socially and sexually monogamous (based on DNA tests of offspring). Father cares for mother and babies. Turns out monogamy is very advantageous for adapting to urban living. Coyotes in general also respect female mate choice too.

Are they ALL perverts?

Pretty much.

If you are in need of some good news about nature: There's some fish species where the males are caring for the offspring. Perhaps those are nicer. (They build little nests and then wait for a female to lay her eggs there, add their sperm and keep the little fishies safe. It seems rather cute.)

... I don't have much hope for primates, tho.
