Post title changed per rule 1, General Guidelines. If you're linking to a news article or blog, make the title of your submission the title of the article or blog posts, or at least begin with it. Clear titles help people avoid posting duplicate topics.

The way this story has unfolded is not sitting right with me. I wish someone more clever than I could write an article about manipulation, consent, not clear cases, court of public union, fan base of DG being made up of men, the amount of misogyny in Naomi's comment section, personal interpretation of what was said being spread as fact, the many comments about what Naomi wore or didn't, her willingness to be in an affair, the fact she is a sugar baby being taken to mean that she consented to Daniel's sexual advances, the economic imbalance, him having a lawyer and threatening to sue, other influences being required to respond to the situation quickly and to be on the 'right moral side' but also on the side of whatever the audience currently believes to be true.

Sorry for the babbling but this has been a lot.

The video also includes a censored screenshot from another woman who claims that Greene raped her in 2016. The woman alleges that Greene used social justice issues to gain personal advantage, adding to the mounting allegations against him.

A social justice bro is a two-faced rapist!!?? I am SHOCKED!!!!! 🙄

Is it just me, or are BookTubers and other social medial "book" influencers some of the most soulless, boring people on the internet? The flashy, colorful spines and the endless super fast consumption of what appear to be airport books, much of it "young adult" so not at a reading level that challenges them in any way. I just can't tolerate it. Not sure if this is an unpopular opinion or not.

So, I have no idea who these people are, but I'm inclined to believe her over any man who is a "BookTuber."

It seems that a lot of them don't even read most of the books they talk about. They're just on "BookTok" to seem smart and sink their teeth into drama.

And I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with an adult enjoying trashy airport novels or YA books. It just becomes a problem when they make it their whole personality and/or posit themselves as intelligent and well-read because they can list all the problematic elements in Twilight or whatever

Oh, I don't know, I am sure there's different ones?

I've recently started watching a series about a bad book, which basically tears the book apart. It's fun, and the guy marked so many pages and quotes so much text, I am pretty sure he actually read it.

Not sure if producing content about books actually makes one a booktuber or if there's other requirements. 🤔

I'm sure there are some that are better than others! I wouldn't say everyone making videos about books are "booktubers"--I associate it more with the fast consumerism side of things.

It's a rather large community with many subgroups. Searching for 'book title' + review is probably the best way of finding a content creator whose taste matches yours. :)

Ooh I love bad book reviews too haha, they’re so fun and I just love to snark 😂
