Hi all! I'm new here, I've been lurking ever since Reddit banned r/GenderCritical. Recently, I got banned from about 4 LGBTQ+ subreddits for asking this simple question: what is your definition of a woman? I had no idea it would result in my ban, but here we are.
I'm a butch lesbian, and I've been a tomboy since I was a kid. You can imagine the kind of bullying I went through. But, it never made me feel ashamed for being female. By the time I had embraced being misgendered by just joking about it, it's now against the law or some shit to misgender. How did we get here?? I'm not even a conservative and I think this "trans ideology" is incredibly sexist and degrading, especially to women. The gay community has now lashed out against me, and it's gotten to the point where I can't show my face online or in person without someone posting a screenshot of me asking what their definition of a woman is.
If a woman is someone that "feels like a woman", what's the difference between trans women and cis women? Can I identify as a trans woman because trans women are just anyone that feels like a woman? Oh, I also got banned for "asking too many questions" lol
The best part? I never got an answer lol thank y'all for having me
