PSA: We're not alone
Posted December 18, 2021 by [Deleted] in Ovarit

A couple of months back, two usernames on Ovarit published similar posts simultaneously: "Let's meet up in (two different places)!" Both users were new, but thankfully neither post received many replies. I don't think anyone met either of them.

Every now and then inactive users on Ovarit resurface to post something controversial. Then after they've stirred up a bit of controversy, they again become inactive.

Then there's the question of what we ourselves put out there. Someone else wrote a while back that they assume everything on this site is logged, that someone is running scripts on Ovarit. I do too. Most doxxing doesn't happen because of hackers breaking into someone's computer, but because the victim has posted so many clues of who they are (here's my cat, I have two sisters, I'm from Boston, I work in tech), that the doxxer is able to figure it out.

TRAs, and especially AGPs, hate women. Many of them wouldn't flinch from doxxing us or from committing actual violence against us.

All this to say, take whatever happens here with a grain of salt. With controversial posts, of course you're free to agree with whatever they say, but don't assume it's always written by one of us. If someone is asking to meet up IRL or on webcam, realize they might be a man looking to hurt you. And be careful with clicking links, even on this site.
