She has previously made a video about Manipulation, Consent, and Assault, in which she alluded to the assault, but didn't name any names, seven weeks after they had gone no contact following his assault. His lawyers immediately sent her a Cease and Desist, threatening to deplatform her if she doesn't take down the video or if she ever mentions the assault again. She had taken edibles on both days that he assaulted her and was tired. He tried to force himself on her the first time, but she managed to prevent penetration. He then proceeded to jerk off on her. They talked about it the next morning, where he claimed it was a mistake and they were just friends and it wouldn't happen again. He then assaulted her a second time, this time orally raping her. She messaged his girlfriend about it, who initially wanted to know what exactly had happened, but then (presumably after Greene had talked to her) wanted no further contact and alluded to a year-long affair the two had allegedly had, which Naomi King denies. She has contacted the police about the assaults.

Daniel Greene is fairly known on the BookTube side of YouTube. First and last time I saw a video of his, he couldn't resist insulting JKR, so no surprises there. From the comments I'm gathering that he didn't want to speak about the Neil Gaiman situation because his channel is supposed to be "a positive space", but many of his fans are now drawing connections between his and Gaiman's public vs private persona.

She has a panic attack near the very end of the video and already suffered from PTSD before the assaults, due to previous sexual assaults. It was quite painful to watch. She shows some messages between her and Greene, and knowing what I know about the world, her tone and use of smileys/emojis will probably misconstrued as her not having been actually traumatized, "why didn't she leave after the first assault", etc, etc. She got a tattoo on the second day and was bandaged up afterwards, which she believes saved her from another assault.

He's posted a video response. Transcript:

Hello, my name is Daniel Greene. This is an important message in response to various false allegations made against me by Naomi King of alleged sexual assault in a campaign launched on YouTube and more.

Let me be clear: I had consensual sex with Naomi King. Yes it was an affair that my then girlfriend and now fiance took several years to move on from. I also have clear and convincing evidence to prove everything was consensual.

Myself and my team are now planning to sue Naomi King in a court of law. The communication Naomi King has inaccurately used against me online has greatly damaged me and others to date. I also have many other pieces of evidence which prove my innocence.

Look for more communication from me based on truth and fact in the near future. Naomi King took time to launch a campaign against me and I will need time to communicate my truth as well more soon.

Thank you.

Thank you for posting, I hadn't seen it yet.

I spend far too much time online.

Naomi's posted a new video and the comment section has turned against her because... men.

The way this story has unfolded is not sitting right with me. I wish someone more clever than I could write an article about manipulation, consent, not clear cases, court of public union, fan base of DG being made up of men, the amount of misogyny in Naomi's comment section, personal interpretation of what was said being spread as fact, the many comments about what Naomi wore or didn't, her willingness to be in an affair, the fact she is a sugar baby being taken to mean that she consented to Daniel's sexual advances, the economic imbalance, him having a lawyer and threatening to sue, other influences being required to respond to the situation quickly and to be on the 'right moral side' but also on the side of whatever the audience currently believes to be true.

Sorry for the babbling but this has been a lot.

How are there even more videos now, my god....

LysienaFebruary 17, 2025

Yes, I saw her second video.

She is not a perfect victim, very few people are and even they rarely get justice. I do think a lawyer would have advised her against uploading that second video. She provided a lot of screenshots that she then left open to interpretation and the comment section is running with the worst scenarios possible.

I also absolutely hate how gleeful these men are, who didn't believe her from the start because all women lie about rape blah blah, and are now taking the second video as confirmation that they're right. Shaming and blaming other people who had the audacity to believe a woman that she was assaulted, when statistically speaking ... it's more likely true than not.

From the evidence she provided, it sounds like she wanted more but didn't want it to be an affair. But even if she expressed "lust" or whatever at some point that does mean that she consented to what happened in those two nights. I am also frankly baffled by the amount of people who interpret her saying "I'm not having sex without lube" as her wanting to have sex with him and not as her trying to discourage him from penetrating her. Also, also, the amount of people who claim that Daniel offering to pay her mid-assault and her saying she could do that implies consent, when from the context she gave I thought it was clear that she was trying to stop him under the guise of discussing payment first? Also: in what world does this scenario make him look good and not extremely boundary-crossing and gross?! I am so tired of women being portrayed as these omnipotent seductresses and the men are their poor little victims who fought against temptation but eventually just HAD to give in. The sheer amount of abuse and rape myths in her comment section ... Baffling. Why didn't she leave, why didn't she say no, why didn't she fight back, why is she only talking about it now, why did she still text him, how was he supposed to know that she didn't want it ... Like, I'm sorry, but I think at some point these porn-brained men need to be held accountable for allegedly not knowing what enthusiastic consent and participation looks like.

I think what's happening in her comment section right now is the same thing we've seen on a much larger scale with women like Amber Heard, Blake Lively, Meghan Markle, Rachel Zegler, etc etc. I think they all have their faults, but the way people on the internet hated them, humiliated them and enjoyed tearing them apart, men and women alike, was simply not proportionate. And in Heard's, Lively's and Markle's cases, the men involved were all portrayed as these poor little fools who didn't know any better and were manipulated by these evil witches. It's ridiculous and I think it's also very concerning how much everyone enjoys these witch hunts. Like, people downloading the second video in case she deletes it so they can "send it to Daniel's lawyers"??? What the actual fuck?

Sorry for the rant. It's frustrating.

Plus, I think so much tone and context gets lost in text messages, so yeah, as you said, to claim that one personal interpretation of a text message is factual is silly.

In the first video she posted some messages out of context and then men were like 'we need more evidence' before criticising Daniel.

In the second video she shared more out of context messages but then men no longer needed more evidence. It was time to burn the witch.

Her comment section was horrendous.

Daniel's video doesn't prove anything. It is his side of the story, which is his right to share.

But now the conversation is finished.

I have no idea how people interpreted those scenarios she narrated as fine. Like you said, they were totally gross and boundary crossing. Imagine that he was single and chatting Naomi up. She agrees to meet him in Vegas and acts like that... Would that be fine??

This has been on my mind a lot. Daniel's behaviour was truly awful. I hope Naomi starts to heal now.
