I don’t believe trans people exist. I believe trans-identified people exist. But actual transsexuals or transgender people? Not possible. It’s all just cosplay, sometimes with drugs.
One could argue that transvestites exist. But one could argue that there’s really no such thing as gender in clothing, too, so, it’s hard to crossdress if there’s nowhere to cross to.
In every other way, yes, I agree with her.
This is my belief now as well. You cannot be born in the wrong body. Transgender is not a real thing. Trans identified ppl exist, but they're just mentally ill females and males
Men identifying as women exist (aka a self identified trans person), I just don't believe that they're women. The same as Christians exist, I just don't believe in Christianity. There's no issue for me as long as I don't have to engage personally in anyone's delusions.
Do I believe some people have gender souls? That some people are born in the wrong body? That some men are "really" women, and some women are "really" men? No. But I do believe trans people exist. I define that as people who:
So, those people definitely exist, and I think it's fair to call them trans people. I believe in their existence without accepting their beliefs in the same way I believe Christians, scientologists, and Buddhists exist. If you see it as a religious belief system, which I do, believing in their existence becomes really easy. Maybe Rowling is the same.
(Note that I did not list severe distress about one's sexed body as a criterion. I think that's separate. Many who meet the above points don't also have that. I don't require surgery or hormones either, because people don't need those to break everything around them.)
I think Rowling might have "agreed" in the sense that people labeled "trans" exist. Rowling has said that she doesn't believe in "the idea that each of us has a nebulous 'gender identity' that may or might not match our sexed bodies." And with how much she criticizes "medical transition" and points out the link between "gender dysphoria" and trauma, autism, and being gay/bi, I question if she believes in "true trans" anymore.
This was my take as well. In my crusade to peak the normies around me, I think it is important to not let the "existence" issue become part of the debate. I have personally seen "existence" take over a debate when it really should have been about the core issues of trans ideology.
They can exist. But they can't actually change sex, or force me to use wrong-sex pronouns, or be allowed to destroy children's bodies, women's intimate spaces, and women's sports.

This is what they mean by existence though
Yes, but you can believe in their existence without agreeing with that. I don't believe that wine and bread turn into the Body of Christ or whatever either, and many people don't, but I don't think anyone would say that Christians don't exist because their beliefs are counter-scientific.
That is my belief as well, and the only point from which I departed from her.
“Trans” exists in that it is a cult akin to a religious belief. Some may believe in its existence, but it has no place in reality or biological fact.
Okay if it's none of our business why insist on pronouns and "respect" and accommodations. Making us do things without questioning it because the reasoning is none of our business? Sounds like a straightforward TYRANNY.
I misread the last word 😂
I can see how that happened. So close in meaning, so close in spelling. 🤣
I was thinking "Damn, sis is going off ! " 😂
Big yes to 5. TiPs do not want to "just live their lives." They have to impose themselves on other people for validation. Despite gender being a "unique, subjective, and deeply personal" experience for each individual person, all of society is forced to play along to validate it.
Its none of our business even though it directly effects us....
It's not the lesbian communities business that straight men are invading their spaces and practicing conversion therapy in them?
Not at all! Losing our spaces and being shut down is not our business!
And the loss of beautiful young butch lesbians who’ve been transformed into a phalanx of short, kazoo voiced, unattractive facsimiles of straight men?
Your spaces, community, dating scene, etc
Surely, there is more you can give, right?
Dig deep for trans!!
When something impacts more than half of the population it should be everybody’s business.
Funny how it is always this and never (ever?):
Women can become MEN
MEN can have vaginas ( only "people" or "person"s ever have vaginas)
Men get to be men, no matter what. The meaning of 'man' has not changed one iota. funny that.
