That poor mother and daughter. I can’t believe this happened less than an hour from my hometown and I never even heard about it. My heart breaks for their family and friends. I hope their killer is in an unmarked grave far away from wherever they’re buried.
Whoever was responsible for his burial arrangements should have cremated him then flush him down the toilet.

how 3 people need an 11 bedroom home is beyond me. There were so many points in time they could have lived more modestly, but he'd rather do this unspeakable act of familicide.

I know a couple who are currently living in a 6 bedroom rented mansion even though they use only one of the bedrooms. Meanwhile their 20yo son has to work in construction during the summer so he can pay for his groceries and uni during the year (this is in Europe, so it's not that expensive) because they "can't afford it"

Yes, I agree. Some of the most miserable people I've known have been incredibly wealthy. I believe more and more in 'moderation in all things,' including money.
That said, I too have found that name brand cream cheese is much better than the generic!

The best thing about wealth is not having to worry about money, and successful people who overspend baffle me.
Reading the comments of that article and it's post after post about people living above their means and you have to scroll down pretty fast before anyone talks about the annihilation part, and even then to just feel bad for the daughter.
Men have a very strange cognitive blindness to the violence of other men. They've brainwashed themselves into not even thinking about it and not seeing it as a male problem. I think this actually scares me more.
