The desire to chase the impossible is a desire for death.
I'ma be pondering this now. *makes note of it in notebook*
I think it shows a belief that body & mind are separate & that the body can be transcended. Which is what transhumanism is about as well. And rather than desiring death they are afraid of it & think they can avoid it. That is part of why they posit the mind/body split. Because they equate the mind with spirit & soul. They can hope that it can survive the death of the body.
It also puts the individual's views above any reality outside of themselves.
Just like Christianity/ religion, it's just another patriarchal religion that aims to destroy the body, the connection between parent and child, females, children, etc.
This. Also throw in a lot of narcissism and privilege. Gender ideology is almost solely a middle to rich class phenomenon.
I'll throw in colonialism as well. I was recently told that my conservative Asian country needs to accept "TQ," when we are still making gains on accepting LGB. Societies that don't praise men pretending to be women are apparently inferior in some undefined way. And they always go mask off with racism when they compare immutable race to men purchasing womenface.
I didn't realize Americans had fixed all their problems with race, wealth, class, sex inequalities by accepting TQ. That's why they're pushing it on other countries, right?
Transgender bullshit is destroying any gains that were made for LGB rights. It's so frustrating to see
Bingo. It's just another stupid, patriarchal distraction
