Crowdsourced maps for women?

I had this idea some time ago and I'd like to know what you think.

Basically, my idea was to create a crowdsourced map for women, something similar to this https://hoodmaps.com/ where women can highlight areas that might be dangerous, such as certain neighbourhoods or places where known rapists and creeps live or prowl. What do you think?

EDIT: Seeing as this was so well received I will give this a try this weekend or next week when I have time.
