Advice neededEngineering career help? Been out of the field too long?
Hi, I have an engineering degree, I graduated before covid and now I have been working in a different field in the meantime.
I would like to get back into engineering but I feel my degree is nearly worthless by now since I haven't used it, it's an oddly specific field, where the stuff I studied pretty much only applies to a small number of employees. If I'd studied something more general like mechanical engineering or civil engineering it would be way easier to apply myself.
I've even considered going back to school. But I don't even know where to begin, i feel so far out of it.
Everytime I start looking for better jobs I just feel a bunch of disdain for myself, for studying something less general in the first place, and also for waiting this long to look for a "good job". I don't have any relevant experience and I don't have any of the qualifications anybody wants, even though I know I am smart enough to do the jobs. I just can't compete with new grads because I'm rusty af now.

I can’t even tell, are they two separate pictures or did the filter add the open mouth because women MUST have the glazed over eyes and receiving mouth. No wonder the transgender population came marching, it’s their whole philosophy about womanhood right?

the goal is trans ideology is to prey on teenagers and vulnerable people and make them hate theirselves for the body that they have. It is a result within patriarchy as well. They paint transitioning as if you’re becoming a new person, as this is why people rush into it without any thought. If you’re lucky enough, you can see though all of the bullshit lies and tactics that especially the public serves on a plate. I hate having to hide how I really feel about them to save my future from getting ruined (despite feeling empathy for those who have been manipulated, especially young children to teenagers) because even some of the people around me that are sworn friends don’t even understand its fatal flaws
I am out to my friends about my views, but I have to keep my disgust, fury, and head-smacking disbelief at the stupidity of gender ideology in check.
