Good to know, but as people in that forum mentioned: it's permanent, will make it harder for delivery drivers to find your house, and will affect the people who live in your house after you and your real estate value. I am personally not going to do it. I use Google Maps all the time and it's valuable to me.

Google your name too- if you show up on those people finder things, spokeo, white pages, etc save the url. Each website has a spot you can tell them to remove your info. Submit urls to google and have those removed from search too. "They" are always scouring for info and building a profile on you. It is a pain, but not too terribly complicated, to get it removed.

I do this all the time. I've managed to get everything important off of the internet.

Those scouring websites that pull data from public voting records (which also shouldn't be a thing) are the scum of the Earth.

Make your voter registration private/confidential if your state allows it. Mine does and I did.
