I ran across Zooniverse (https://www.zooniverse.org/) today and it seems really cool! Research projects are posted and over 2 million volunteers help with the work. I did a quick online search about the site and found a PBS article that mentions the organization (https://www.pbs.org/newshour/science/not-all-scientists-wear-lab-coats-volunteers-are-fueling-research-nationwide) as well as a NASA article about a project they had on the platform (https://science.nasa.gov/science-news/citizenscience/love-spectacular-photos-of-jupiter-become-a-jovian-vortex-hunter)
A couple projects that caught my attention were opportunities to transcribe letters and notes from women in history. For example, transcribing mothers’ letters to Coram’s Foundling Hospital, or transcribing the work of early Harvard astronomers Williamina Fleming, Annie Jump Cannon, Henrietta Swan Leavitt, and many others.
Nice, bookmarked
