I am not talking about whether it is inevitable or not. I am talking about greatly disliking living in a world where technology literally dominates everything, and is getting more and more powerful. AI automation and robots honestly scare the ever loving crap out of me. I miss the world of 20 years ago that did have computers; but malls and shops were still thriving, people weren't obsessed with their phones, and people actually talked to each other and had real hobbies and interests. I actually really loved researching in the library and reading maps, and think we don't appreciate learning as much when it is just handed to you. It depresses the hell out of me that so many people don't even cook, because they can just get take out or preprepared food.
Now apparently AI is doing therapy, art, writing and other things that should be only for people. Why does this not scare more people? Why are people that actually think it is good to actually do things on your own and not rely on technology made fun of; but people that brag about having this new AI write emails for them praised? I am honestly worried that we are just going to get dumber and dumber as a species.
